This year's (2024) First Annual Django's Birthday Celebration was a huge success.

join the upstate Gypsy Jazz Community and local live music!

Thanks to The Linda for hosting/sponsoring/underwriting the event
along with Hot Club of Saratoga.

Thanks to luthier Mark Leue for bringing his bass to display.

Thanks to Adrien Chevalier and his crew Brad Brose,
Abe Pollock and Uri Zelig for coming up from NYC to play and teach.

We are leaving the information from this year's event below to give you an idea about what you might expect in 2025. We hope to build on what we have begun. We will update the information late in 2024.
Until then, go out for some live gypsy jazz!

Workshops Before The Concert

Classes are at an additional cost with proceeds going to the teachers and to help make the event possible.

Violin Gypsy Jazz Style with Adrien Chevalier: 4:45-6:15, $55 per person
Guitar in the Django Style with Brad Brose: CANCELLED
Beginning Gypsy Rhythm with Chuck Kish: 60+ minutes starting at 5:00, $35 per person. Learn the basics of gypsy rhythm, "la pompe", and chord shapes typically used in the genre with an introduction to the "power chord" of gypsy jazz.
